Annoyed by porn

Lately, I've been exploring a few porn videos. Just casually browsing the Internet and seeing what I can find.

I don't care so much about the visuals of something. Previously in my life, I've been satisfied to find writing that plants words and ideas in my head. I'm all about the words.

But as the internet advances, good sex writing gets harder and harder to come by in the random internet. Yes, there are books, but for just a quick idea session? Not so much. I found myself returning to the same story over and over. A search almost always would turn up videos first, with writing scattered between them. And so, finally I broke and decided to check out some videos.

I love anal sex. So I looked for BDSM anal sex videos.

I found one that turned me on so much I was shocked and fascinated. I'd never had that reaction to a video before.

But just one. It goes from the beginning of the interaction, has lots and lots of talking, shows the prep, the girl's reactions, everything.

Every other video I've found skips around like it has a serious attention deficit disorder. They'll jump from an intro to a flogging to an all-out-ass-fucking faster than my brain can process that it's meant to be watching people having sex in the first place. And close-ups of quick-piston action of a cock into a hole? No thank you? What even is that?

I can only surmise that this is because the people who cut the video figure that male viewers only want to see the most action-oriented parts. But I'm annoyed because if they're going to film something, and obviously there's a camera there the whole time, I want to see the prep and the talking and go with the feelings of the thing. To actually become stirred, I need more than 3 minutes from intro to "AH-AH-AH-AHHHHH."

But maybe that's just me.

Your thoughts?

  1. James Deen. The future is James Deen. Proper stories and set up and whatnot, the sex all makes logical sense.

I have no wish to see pistoning either. or gaping butt holes afterwards, what is all that about?!

    1. I will check that out. But I'm not sure if I want a story or logic either. I'm fine with just sex, but I want all the parts of the sex rather than being dropped into the center of it. Except the close-up parts of the parts, haha.

    2. that's what I mean by story - the sex having a logical begining, middle, end, progressing naturally etc

    3. Aha, got you. :D I'm a porn newbie so thought story meant, like, setting and plot and reasoning. Thanks for the education. \o/

  2. Omg I hate the close ups. I don't watch porn, but I used to hunt it down for Thrax (until I found him super hero bdsm porn, and he wouldn't let me anymore) and I realized that I love watching extensive torture porn, but don't want to see any of the sex. It may be that I shut down the sexual part of my brain while playing with girls carries over to other venues as well.

    1. Super hero BDSM porn. :-o

That sounds utterly fascinating. My brief explorations have led me to think that while I don't mind seeing the sex, I need to see what led up to the sex. And I want the whole thing to take a while. Not a "here, I'll stick a finger in your mouth and...oh, look, it's time for a cock!" Meh.

And I'm not particularly interested in the sex actually ending. The "money shot" makes me roll my eyes.

      I guess I'm a pretty critical consumer. :(

    2. I understand the reason for the money shot. I really do, but I'm not a fan of having cum on me, and seeing it on other people gives me a squicky feeling. I'd be fine with seeing a man cum inside of a woman, and focus on it creeping out of her junk, then seeing the resulting collapse and snuggles, and then maybe a cut to them curled up and cleaned off.

I agree that the approach to porn of trying to fit as much in as possible without any complete thought is bothersome. Yes, we all have days where we can't get to fucking our partner fast enough, and just want all the things, but sometimes taking your time makes it so much more fun.

I think it's put together that way to try and flood the consumer's mind. Sort of a plan of mental over stimulation so they don't need to do any of the thinking.

And yes, superhero bdsm porn. Her told me he wanted porn with a story, and all these other qualifiers, and this fit all of them. So much for me finding what he said he wanted :P

  3. Hey my friend! Always good to see you.

I find that there is little that interests me, outside of the sex, for many of the videos I have seen online. The lines are tacky and fake.

The few that I have found that DO peak my interest from start to end are the true BDSM scenes in nature, no plastic cuffs here. The dialogue of a good D/s scene is unbelievably sexy to me. The behaviors and words of the Master being so calculated and controlled, and the sub....Just find me a sub who can find her "lines" during a real spanking/flogging/caning scene. You don't, the reactions, the sweat, the tremble, all real and just happened to be filmed.

Good GOD Conina, I am on day 6 of 10 of a no clit-orgasm punishment. All this porn talk has put my damn need in overdrive...I could hump the couch cushion for relief if I wasn't dutifully following this consequence.

    1. Right? This girl could barely choke out a "Yes" once during the scene. And the little whimpers coming out of her were totally realistic, not like some of the obviously fake noises in other vids.

Sorry to hear about your predicament! It's almost over! :)

  4. Seriously... you could share the link. Personally, as a fan of amateur/homemade porn, the whole problem with BDSM porn is it's all professional staged.

    1. Hah. I could share the link, but then you all would know exactly the sort of thing that gets me bizarrely turned on, and I'm not sure I'm quite ready for that level of exposure.

Says the woman who writes detailed descriptions of half the sex acts she participates in.

This video was apparently professionally done (I've looked the girl up and seen her in another things), but it was barely staged at all. Not like the kink.com videos I've seen or anything. A bench, some bindings, a girl, a gag, some toys, and some lube. The audio was horrible. I could only hear about half the words said. I agree, some of the professional staging is completely off-putting for me. This looked like it was done in someone's garage.

    2. All that said, if you really want to see it, drop me a line and I'll share it with you. Chances are you've seen it already though, being as I'm barely skimming the surface of what's out there.

    3. Half the acts... I feel ripped off. Jk.

      Glad you are back posting.

  5. Great to see a post from you. Hope all is well.
I don't view much porn - the UK law is a little vague about what is legal.
Like mc I do like James Deen, if only because he's not the stereotypical porn star in appearance.
When I write anal scenes I aim to be realistic, without making it off putting, because I think it's important to show both the vulnerability and the excitement especially for the first timer. It's tough to write. I don't use staged porn as basis of writing because they just look so eek, close up. Finding those portrayals of emotions is tough. I wonder if it comes down to what women want out of it compared to men. Emotions, as well as actions.

    1. Everything's as well as can be expected. :) I've been out and about with my munchkin getting him all socialized and things. Leaves one very little time for oneself, between teaching and groups and classes.

I wonder though if it really is as simple as man vs woman or if it's just simple vs complex? Admittedly I did see one (male) commenter on the video I enjoyed who said it "took too long to get to the action," ... and I was like, what? The whole thing was the action.

      Interesting difference of perspective, there.
